For the sixth consecutive year, the Impact Maker Award returns - the competition dedicated to startups in the food industry. The award aims to inspire and spotlight innovative companies making a real difference. Three finalists have now been selected from more than 40 nominations. Grale was one of them.
The Impact Maker Award was established to highlight innovative startups within the food system as a source of inspiration for successful innovation. The ambition is for more players in retail, industry and the supply chain to recognise the potential of collaborating with startups. In a broader systemic context, the award also aims to inspire and help bring greater visibility to strong examples of startup concepts and growth journeys.
This year's finalists were selected from 40 nominations. They will pitch at the industry forum Livsmedelsdagarna on 23 September, where a jury comprising representatives from Arla, ICA and Paulig will select the final winner. All three are partners of the competition.
"We are impressed by all the inspiring startups nominated for this year's award. There is a wide mix of startups solving different challenges across the food chain. The majority also meet the award's criteria, which has made the selection process particularly difficult. We congratulate the finalists on reaching the final and look forward to their pitches in September," says Jakob Söderström, board member of Livsmedel i fokus and jury member.
In addition to the prize of SEK 100,000 to be used for further development of their innovation, the winner will also receive tailored meetings based on their specific needs and situation with Arla, ICA and Paulig.
